British Thomson-Houston/Brush North Eastern No. 1, (BR Class ES1, No. 26500), a pioneering electric loco built 1904 for the line from Trafalgar Yard in Manors to Newcastle Quayside Yard, a 3/4 mile horseshoe-shaped line with three tunnels. No. 1 and 2 operated from 1905 to 1964 when diesels took over. 1968 to Leicester Museum, 1974 to Shildon.
