Francis Trevithick LNWR 2-2-2 No. 3020 'Cornwall' built at Crewe in 1847, originally as a 4-2-2 but subsequently extensively rebuilt. Exhibited at The Great Exhibition in 1851. Retired from the Liverpool-Manchester route in 1902 but still working c.1925. One of the first steam engines earmarked for preservation.
